AION 2 Character Creation, Presets, and Factions

Choose Elyos or Asmodian, understand the 200-plus customization claim, and avoid assuming preset files work across versions.

The short answer

AION 2 Global offers Elyos and Asmodian factions and more than 200 character customization options. NC confirms detailed face, hair, makeup, styling and body adjustments, while the current transfer Q&A confirms My Appearances, the Download Library and Style Shop data exist. The reviewed English sources do not document cross-region preset-file compatibility, so do not assume a Korea/Taiwan preset will import into Global.

Make the permanent choices first

Character appearance has many adjustable fields, but faction, server and class have wider gameplay consequences. Choose the Global region and server deliberately, then decide between Elyos and Asmodian before spending time on the face and body editor. NC describes the story as a faction conflict involving both groups.

Customization scope

NC's April 2026 Global announcement promises more than 200 customization features. Official demonstrations describe face, hair, makeup, styling and body-type controls. “More than 200” refers to adjustable features, not 200 finished presets.

  • Start from a preset close to the intended silhouette.
  • Check the character under more than one lighting angle.
  • Review full-body proportions with the intended outfit.
  • Save or publish only after checking what the current client says will be retained.

Presets and Style Shop

The October transfer Q&A confirms three current systems: My Appearances, the Download Library and the Style Shop. It says saved skins and library data transfer with a character, while Style Shop entries remain available after transfer; creator and server labels on a published style do not update.

Compatibility still unconfirmed

Do not assume a preset file is universal. The reviewed English sources do not document whether preset files from the Korea/Taiwan client import into Global, whether every version shares a file format, or whether a preset carries every cosmetic entitlement. Treat cross-region files as unverified until the Global client accepts them.
